Information on the processing of personal data in connection with the use of the Elementric app.
What is Droppmattan, also known as Dripspy?
Droppmattan (Dripspy) is a smart sensor that enables the detection and prevention of water damage in homes by monitoring potential leak points.
The product uses advanced technology to identify leaks at an early stage and help prevent water damage in the home.
Who is the data controller?
Elementric AB (company registration number 559302-9092) is the data controller for the processing of your personal data.
What personal data is processed?
The following personal data about you is processed through the Elementric app:
– Name, address, mobile phone number and email address.
– Information about your home (e.g. property address, apartment number and sensor locations).
– Any images of plumbing installations (if you choose to upload them).
– Sensor data from Droppmattan (e.g. leak detection, temperature and battery status).
– Communications with us (e.g. support requests, feedback or survey responses).
Why is personal data processed?
Personal data is processed for the following purposes:
– Performance of the contract
Processing is necessary to fulfil the agreement with you regarding Droppmattan.
– Quality purposes
Processing is carried out to evaluate the use and functionality of Droppmattan.
– Marketing, statistics, etc.
After anonymisation (i.e. when the data can no longer be linked to you), information from Droppmattan or the application may be used for marketing, statistics and reports.
Legal basis for processing personal data
– Contract
Processing of sensor data, contact information and information about plumbing installations (including any images) is necessary for Elementric AB to fulfil the agreement concerning Droppmattan.
– Legitimate interest
Other processing is based on Elementric AB’s legitimate interest in developing and evaluating damage-prevention services. This interest outweighs the data subject’s interest in protecting their personal privacy, as the processing is limited and necessary for the intended purpose of the product.
Who may we share your personal data with?
Elementric AB only shares data with necessary data processors (e.g. providers of cloud services for the app and data storage) who process data on behalf of Elementric AB and in accordance with written data processing agreements. Data is not sold to third parties.
How long is the data stored?
– Personal data linked to your account is stored for as long as the agreement remains in force and for an additional 48 months after the agreement has ended (for warranty and support purposes).
– Anonymised data is stored for longer periods for statistical purposes and product development.
– You may request deletion of your data at any time, to the extent permitted under applicable legislation.
What happens when you uninstall the Elementric app and stop using Droppmattan?
Personal data processed for the performance of the contract is stored for as long as you, as a consumer, may assert claims regarding defects in the service under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act.

You have the right to:
– Request access to your personal data.
– Request correction or deletion of your data.
– Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
– Request restriction of processing or data portability.
